Probate is the legal process by which a person’s property is distributed to beneficiaries upon death. Attorney Jennifer Byrom has more than 30 years of experience guiding families through the probate process in Santa Rosa County, Escambia County, Okaloosa County and Walton County in the Florida Panhandle.
How assets are distributed will be determined by the decedent’s last will and testament. If there was no will, Florida’s laws of intestate succession (no will) will determine how assets are distributed.

Attorney Jennifer Byrom will guide the personal representative and other family members through the Florida probate process. She will also do a final accounting of the estate, unless waived by all beneficiaries. Any federal taxation issues will be handled by a certified public accountant.
Before any Florida property can go through the probate process, a certified copy of death certificate for the deceased person, as well as the original will if there is one will be needed.
